John Carlin elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health & Medical Sciences

Congratulations to Professor John Carlin who has been elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (http://www.aahms.org/newfellows2018/).  

John has been an outstanding leader in the discipline of Biostatistics both internationally (co-author of an influential textbook in Bayesian statistics – 22,300 citations, and lead author of numerous highly cited statistical methodology papers and software packages) and nationally (founding partner of the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia and principal investigator of the inaugural Centre of Research Excellence for Biostatistics – ViCBiostat). This award also recognises John’s major contributions to health and medical research, in particular, adolescent health and paediatrics.
