Three ViCBiostat PhD students awarded SSA scholarship
Congratulations to Parinaz, Elizabeth and Jiaxin who have each been awarded a $5,000 top-up scholarship from the Statistical Society of Australia.
Of the four scholarships awarded in this first year of the scheme, we are thrilled that three have gone to ViCBiostat students, one from each of our contributing partner institutions (the University of Melbourne, Monash University and MCRI, respectively).
These scholarship top-ups will help support our students as they continue their projects across a range of ViCBiostat research streams:
Parinaz Mehdipour: Determining effective and safe treatments for vivax malaria using a modelling and simulation framework
Elizabeth Korevaar: Statistical methods for meta-analysis of interrupted time series
Jiaxin Zhang: Development and evaluating of causal inference methods for epidemiological studies with missing data
